Again from the BBC: Mark Schreiber is “an extremely busy freelance translator and author” in Tokyo. “My work requires me to research heavily from Japanese-language newspapers and magazines. At any given moment I have five or six projects ongoing. I hate to throw things away.”
There is nothing wrong with untidy work spaces. They are productive, interesting and free flowing environments. No Kantian-Proustian asceticism here. So there.
