Redesigns

People are forever whining about website redesigns, but generally I like them. Especially the recent redesigns of Gmail and Google Reader. It looks so much fresher, cleaner, less nineties, less early to mid noughties, more hard, streamlined and balanced, form flowing from function. The blue is colder and the inclusion of right angles makes it feel more mechanised, in a classy, business like kind of way.

The feature that has attracted the most attention though is the ability to hide how many unread articles you have in your Reader. At. Last. Thank you. RSS feeds can be fun again.
