Blackberry vs. iPhone vs. G1 v.s N96 (pink Pearl wins)

SmartPhone Wars Part Deux comes to an end with the victory of the Blackberry Pearl (as mentioned, in pink).

So it wasn’t the first choice (iPhone) or the second (G1). That’s because both of these phones are only available on 18 month contracts. I don’t want an 18 month contract. The networks know the phones won’t last, but still they insist. Infuriating.

Choice three (N96) was available on an 12 month tariff. If I was willing to stump £100-150 for a phone. All the networks kept saying “if you go on 18 months it will be chea/handset is free”. I kept saying “If I wanted an 18 month contract/to be pay for the handset I would get an iPhone you numpty”.

So then I saw the Blackberry Pearl (in pink). It had everything a smartphone should have, but was free, on an averagly priced tariff, for 12 months. So far I love it. Hooked up to Gmail, not Outlook.

And a pink Blackberry says NOTHING about oneself. Okay?
