Hacked

My Gmail got hacked. Violated. It sent a stupid, grammtically dubious plea to everyone I have ever emailed, asking if they would only stop at a website and buy stuff. Eff off.

There are a few things about this that disturbed and angered me. The first was the the sanctity of the Gmail account was broken. It’s like having a burgler break into your house, you suddenly feel vulnerable, exposed, the cosy domestic arena takes on a more sinsiter feel.

Secondly it’s the annoyance. WTF? Thats my email!

Thirdly is the fact that this has a) probably annoyed alots of people, b) contacted some people who I would rather not have contacted and c) potentially transmitted some malware to all my friends. Nice.

Fourthly is the fact that someone has compromised my password. This is definitely, definitely not a good thing.

Fifthly that someone from China (Gmail gives you the IP of everyone who logs on) has installed some spyware on my computer and I don’t know if it is off yet. For all I know they are logging every keystroke I am make, including these ones. If you are reading you sad, limp dicked git, go away. Go and hack the Pentagon, or a Swiss bank, or something.

Sixthly- privacy has to be forgotten.

Seventhly my normative state of mild controllable paranoia is now being excited. What if I am being specifically targetted by a gang of Chinese snake heads bent on my ruin? What if the Chinese military has singled me out as the biggest threat to world domination? I mean WHAT IF!?!! Ok, I am not that bad. Honestly.

Phew, rant over.
