Pure filmic naffness; an utterly absurd plot premise seemingly dreamt up by a five year old ODing on Red Bull and Lego; the worst, most gruesomely plastic CGI of all time; a dumb script; dumb actors; the near tragic presumption of the standard richly intoned trailer voiceover; the fact that it features an octopus; it’s ridiculous, embarrassing name; the line “We are dealing with a menace”; the whole glorious, mind blowing awfulness of the thing, the next level badness, the sense that took all the shlocky grindhouse, B-movie, Snakes on a Plane, cult crap to it’s apotheosis: all reasons to love love love this trailer.
