At last, the future is actually happening. This is an image of the Foster + Partners designed Spaceport currently under construction in New Mexico. They have even gone to the trouble of making it look like a cross between a manta ray, some piece of strange, organic extra-terrestrial headgear and one of the more outre space going vessels from an early 90s SF show. Brilliant. I can’t wait until we have one in every town. Just think, when they build one in London they can learn all the lessons from Heathrow and make it work. Seriously though, I think this is hugely exciting, even if it is slightly sad that the whole thing is branded Virgin. Surely some trans-national, daring but rational brotherhood of all men and peace would be better?
