EA Games is to make a version of Dante’s immortal Divina Commedia as a computer game. We all knew that the gaming world has woken up to the power of narrative but this surely has to be the moment when gaming becomes irredeemably high brow. Capital. In a hundred years people might get dressed in black tie and sip champagne before watching the greats do battle on a vintage copy of Half-Life 2.
