Shunt
Shunt was the best club in London, an extraordinary Victorian space occupying the industrial catacombs beneath London bridge. Entry was a via an anonymous door in the tube station, leading to a long dark tunnel, which eventually opened in to the labrythine and cavernous spaces of the clubs itself. Art events; decent people; alcoves where shoes were banned; space and darkness. It had everything....

Urban Fibres and the Like
Everyday on my way to work I walk through Kings Cross station. Its fortunes haveĀ  echoed those of London, surging from mid-Victorian confidence to the degraded seediness of the latter 20th century.
