Iron Man or Hellboy 2
It’s an important, age old question. And I would have to say Hellboy 2. Got to love Guillermo del Toro, a guy with an imagination somewhere between Lewis Carol, Mervyn Peake, Hieronymus Bosch, Salvador Dali and something completely Faeried out of past reference.

El Momentos
Consider this. During my lifetime there have been three defining historical events. The first was the fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapseĀ of socialism. This supposedly heralded the End of History and ushered ion a new era of harmony, liberal democracy, free markets, peace, prosperity and the triumph of the West. The hammer blows in the Wall were hammer blows against the forces arrayed...
Tumblerette

50 redesigns. What is it about uncapitalised letters that makes them look more contemporary and cool? In several years will everything revert to caps? If so why? Design is something everyone has a sense of, but remains very difficult to do well. Like poetry.

Just signing up on this site, billed as flickr meets twitter. You send photos from your camera phone onto a twitter like stream shared with friends. Mainly interested in it as a way of posting pics to my Facebook wall rather than actually spending time on the site. If you’re there say hi.
Redesigns
People are forever whining about website redesigns, but generally I like them. Especially the recent redesigns of Gmail and Google Reader. It looks so much fresher, cleaner, less nineties, less early to mid noughties, more hard, streamlined and balanced, form flowing from function. The blue is colder and the inclusion of right angles makes it feel more mechanised, in a classy, business like kind...

Via b3ta. This could be fun. A URL shortener (like Snurl etc) that allows you to change words on the destination site e.g. input swear words. Excellent.
A Twitterverse; the Tweetsphere; Twiction
Twitter is slowly taking over my brain. I can tweet through a browser; on my home desktop via Twhirl; on my my Blackberry with Twitterberry and on my iPod Touch with Twitterific. I use Mr. Tweet to optimise my follows, and marvel at Twittervision. Twitter and it’s API is revealing the truth about social networking: that it is not a harmless way of connecting, but rather is a pathological and...

Last.fm vs iTunes
Also via Mashable. Wonder if they will try and “I’m an iTunes” campaign based on this. Given that last.fm is almost painfully cool and of the moment in it’s top tracks this is unlikely. MGMT and Fleet Foxes both highlights for me. Don’t know what it is about Katy perry but she is rapidly becoming a late and guilty entrance into the personal top tracks of 08. Out soon...
Crunch Irony
The credit crunch has thrown up more than a few ironic moments, but this is just great. When the Big Three Detroit car firms flew into Washington to beg for pennies, it came with a sense of the mighty having fallen. That the executives flew in three separate private jets did not impress the assembled Senators one bit. They got nailed for it, and rightly so.
